June

                                                         Another Year’s End

finals

The school year has flown by, and another summer is at our feet. The Start of Senior year is so close I can almost taste it. I have a little bit of Senioritis and I don’t think I can hide it. Most of my classes are about preparing for the MPAs and the years end. First few weeks of Web have been preparing for retakes on the WDCertified exit exam, and we finally did them. I sadly didn’t pass with a score of 77 but I am still glad that I improved a major amount since my last attempt. at first I was upset with my results, but then i realized that i was making improvements so that made me feel a little bit better about it. In other classes like English and Math we have been working on packets and study guides to prepare us for the MPA and i am not feeling to great about the upcoming math exam. It’s a little odd, but I’m a little bit sad that the year is coming to an end. Next up is senior year and after that no more school. It’s gonna be a large part of my day that I’m going to have to fill and make the time worth in order to not go insane from boredom. The school year as many times as I said I couldn’t wait for it to end, I honestly wish it would take a little longer.

Web III, as little as I showed interest in the beginning, I still enjoyed a lot of the time I spent in class. Had a lot of laughs, had some obstacles here and there, and just overall bad days, but the overall class experience was great. With senior year just at the end of this summer, I’m having a little bit of trouble grasping how fast high-school has gone by so far. A lot of the issues I’ve had this year are from mistakes that I chose to make freshman and sophomore year. I didn’t realize it then, but now I see how important it is to actually try in your classes and even though a lot of what you learn in your main classes like English and Math you won’t really use, It still feels great showing effort and doing good in the classes. Looking back at these 3 years I’ve had in Delsea, there’s a lot of regret mostly on my own effort I put in. June not only is flying by like all the other months of this year, but making me reminisce a lot on the past year and, overall I enjoyed it.

May

                                                            Study! Study! Study!wdcertified

May has been a month of studying for me. Tests, and Quizzes, and Projects and everything in between for the whole month. Web III is no exception when it comes to the grind. We have been studying and studying for HTML/CSS trying to prepare to take the W.D. Certified Exit Exam again. Most of us didn’t pass on the first time, which was expected, however still a little upsetting knowing how hard all of us studied. The Exit exam was definitely a lot harder than I thought it would be and I wish I prepared myself a little bit more than what I did. i treated it as if it were be an easy pass.
With the trial, and studying and and failing the exit exam also came some positives. I learned that I passed the ASVAB with an actually good grade. The test that i expected to be hard was actually easy, and the test i expected to be easy was a lot harder than I thought. Altogether May has been a grind month.

March

                                                            March Madness
studygde

March has been the month of studying for me in most of my classes not excluding Web III. We have been working on our definitions and how we use different properties such as Transition Property, and Content-editable regions. Not only has it reassured what I already knew but it prepared me for some of the things that I didn’t know like Deprecated tags. We are nearing the end of the third Marking Period, and I feel that I am going to end it in Web III on a strong note. I have learned and managed to keep a lot of information throughout the Whole of this Month, it’s unbelievable!

Not only in Web III have I been studying, but almost all of my other classes as well. Overall March has been a very progressive Month for me grades, and knowledge wise. I have been keeping up with my homework and doing good on all my tests and I actually feel prepared for these upcoming Marking Period Assessments. The closer we get to April the closer we get to the SATs, and I am genuinely excited for them.

February

                                                            Preparation Season
study

February has been the month of studying for Web 3. We have been working on coding a couple of study guides for the exit exam. They consist of definitions and terms, then we make example pages that when we press a button show up. We are supposed to pick whether we are “clear”, “hazy”, “muddy”, or “brick” on each of the topics. I Have either been a clear, meaning i completely understand it, or hazy as in i’m close to full comprehension which is great and shows very good possibilities for the Exam.

February has also been a great month for me personally. I have not only been able to keep my grades up, but I’ve been attempting on getting more sleep so I’m able to concentrate and stay focused in my classes easier. Not only have I been focused on school but I have also been very focused on researching the future career i want to follow and learning about colleges more. I’ve learned so much not only about what I want to do, but also how I can go about with it.

December

                                              The Season of Giving
gift

December, the month of memories, and giving. Not only does it have Christmas, but also a much needed break from school. All the tests and work in class makes it stressful, but the break makes up for it with the fun time with friends, family, and gifts. This month has been so progressive for me despite being out sic for a week. I have been managing my grades amazingly, and being consistent with my homework and projects. I not only finally realized how much easier trying makes life, but it also helped me learn how important it is for me to show that I care to my teachers.
Not only have I been working harder in school, but also have been looking at different colleges that I may want to attend once I’m done with high school. I have always wanted to attend Bowling green State University for its graphic Design program, and I am hoping that I can get into it if i keep my grades at As and Bs throughout the rest of my Junior and my Senior years. I am really for once trying my hardest to do my best. These last 2 years of high school are my years and I know I’m going to do great.

November

                                                           PHP=Physically perplexing

PHP

November has been very hard but very productive in many aspects of school for me. The amount of Tests that I have had to do in just this one month is unbelievable. Many of My classes also have been teaching a lot of new lessons, and has really upped the level of my school year by a lot. It has helped me find out where I am going to stand throughout the rest of the year, and what I have to work on. As for Web 3, the progress has been great. We finished with JavaScript and are now working with PHP, and is it a trip. It manageress to be exactly like JS but everything is different. Some issues I have had with it are i try to declare a variable in PHP without realizing that I don’t have to. All of The Lessons We have been doing lately have been really easy, but I feel that soon it will jump drastically and take me from surprise. The class is easy grades, but I’m making so many easy mistakes with my lessons that it puts me back a little bit on time. With all my classes so far I have made a great start though. I have 4 100s at the moment, and hope to keep it that way. Throughout November I have learned a lot, and can’t wait for December!

October

                                                           An Easy beginning

Functions

October has been great. The classes have been getting slightly harder, but that just means we’re moving onto things i didn’t learn before. This month has had a lot of tests in most of my classes already, and I feel like because of a lot of the tests my grades are higher than usual. In Web 3 we are learning the importance of functions, and well how to use them. We are working on a lot of labs that have to do with functions. it was taking me a little bit to understand how to use them, and what they dd but I’m slowly starting to catch on. With Halloween just around the corner, I’m excited even though I’m not doing anything. I’ve also been talking to my Guidance counsel our about the SAT and I’m kinda nervous, but at the same time happy because if I do good I’ll have higher college opportunities for colleges than I would if I do bad. I know I’m getting my hopes up but i definitely know I can do good on the SAT.

September

                                                         Shaking Off the Rust

aNewBeginning

September…It can either make your school year better, or make it way worse. It’s all about the first impression, and so far my first impression of Web 3 is good. I can tell it’s going to be a great year for me and am looking forward to it. I have been taking pretests in a lot of my classes and that is where Web 3 doesn’t stray away. I’m hoping that even though I’m a little bit rusty with Web Design, I’ll be able to get it all back within no time. We are going to start learning JavaScript soon, which is what I’m excited about. JavaScript looks very confusing to me at first sight so I’m hoping to easily understand it when we start. Apposed to school, my life at home has been pretty good. I’ve been getting back into Skateboarding and I made more progress over the summer than I did in 2 years, which I am very excited about. I also have been practicing and learning more about designing so when I go to college I won’t be completely dumbfounded. I’m also working on getting a job, and hopefully will be making constant income soon. I know that I have plenty to learn, but this is going to be one of the first years I try in a while.
